DOG DAY OUT PROGRAM

The Humane Society of Tulsa’s Dog Day Out Program gives shelter dogs a break from the kennel and a chance to shine in the real world. Approved volunteers take a dog out for a few hours or a full day to enjoy walks, playtime, relaxation, and dog friendly outings. These experiences reduce stress, build confidence, and help dogs show their true personalities, which greatly increases their chances of adoption. Each outing ends with the dog returning to the shelter happier, more relaxed, and more visible to potential adopters.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Complete the application belowBe specific as possible in your responses. Once it is reviewed, you will receive an approval email.
Come into the Adoption CenterOnce you receive the confirmation, come into our Adoption Center and we will match you with a dog to take on the adventure you choose with all the supplies you’ll need!
Take lots of photos and videosHelp your Dog Shine! Providing photos and videos that can be posted will help increase their chance of adoption.
Return to the Adoption Center Once your adventure concludes, bring the pet back to the Adoption Center to rest up for the night.
