Three years ago I adopted two kittens. Lovie(shelter name Sparkle) was born in the shelter but was the runt of her litter. She was shunned by her mom so she was fostered. When she returned to the shelter her littermates had been adopted. Felix (Clark Kent) came into the shelter and hated cages. He did everything to get out including crying. Lovie was put into the cage with him and they fell in love.
At the time, my friend volunteered for the Center and told me about two babies (9& 12 weeks old) they were trying to adopt together. Of course, I fell in love and took them both.
They have been together ever since. They go everywhere together. Felix is only calm in his carrier with Lovie. When they were declawed and Lovie was spade, the vet had to put Felix in the cage with Lovie because he wouldn't stop crying!
They are truly loved. Felix is very affectionate and NEEDS to be held wit his tummy rubbed a lot. Lovie likes to snuggle after a shower but is very independent. She sucked on my ear for the first 6 months. She still does occasionally. They still play like they are kittens. They snuggle together and clean each other.
They have a sister I picked up off the street. Her name is Lola. Although Lola has not broken their bond, they accept her. Basically this letter is to let you know they have their forever home together and are happy and healthy. Thank you for all that you do for cats and dogs without homes.
